If you've decided that you are ready to think about making a tulpa, then you've come to the right place. You might already have an idea of what kind of tulpa you want to make. If you don't, it's okay, creating a tulpa is a very open process, and it'll work even if your tulpa is loosely defined. Even if you have a well-defined idea for your tulpa, it's likely that your tulpa will deviate anyways, making changes to themselves that may surprise you. As general advice, you should be willing to accept these changes and not control them.
Most of the guide content on TulpaForce.github.io is organized in the order that most tulpa development happens, and it is suggested (but not necessary) that you follow them as listed. If you do not have experience in meditation, it may be practical to pick up some of the mental exercises in our Meditation guide, as they will prove useful during tulpaforcing. If you want to choose a particular form for your tulpa, you will want to practice Visualization so that the form can stay consistent and detailed (however, this will not prevent your tulpa from deviating its form). While forcing, you can either choose to define the foundation of your tulpa's personality with the Personality guide, or let the tulpa form a personality on its own.
You will also want to attempt Communication with your tulpa, particularly narration. Talking to your tulpa is essential for it to gain sentience. If you need help, we do have Topics of Conversation that will help your tulpa develop its ability to think and form opinions. You will also want to consider creating a Wonderland and doing Activities with your tulpa from the safety of your imagination. There may be times when you want your tulpa to talk to other people, either in person or over the internet. With Possession, your tulpa can have experiences outside of their relationship with yourself, and become even more interesting and diverse. When you feel that your tulpa is sentient and vocal, and your visualization skills are well-developed, you may want to attempt Imposition, the unconscious but voluntary hallucination stage.
And at the end of it all, you may find the hardest part of having a tulpa is Telling People about it. While a tulpa has the potential to be one of your most loyal and trustworthy friends for life, many people who are not familiar with the concept will be quick to claim it is a mental illness, or demonic in nature - when in fact it is quite safe. You must be patient with these types of people, and not take offense. The worst case scenario is that you will have to be secretive about your tulpa; after all, nobody has control over your thoughts besides you, and nobody has control over your tulpa besides you.
